Abstrak

Rabies is a disease caused by lyssavirus. To date, rabies continues to experience an increase in cases due to the high
incidence of Rabies Transmission through Animal Bites (RTAB). One of the districts in Bali Province with a high
number of cases is Badung, with 10,499 cases in 2023. Spatial and temporal analysis of RTAB incidents can provide
clues regarding more effective locations for public health interventions. The design of this study is an ecological
study using reports of RTAB incidents. Spatial analysis results indicate a high number of RTAB cases in Badung
District. Additionally, positive cases of Rabies Transmissible Animals (RTA) were found in Badung District, leading
to positive rabies cases in humans identified through the Early Warning and Response System. Furthermore, a
spatial relationship was found between case discovery and population density, as well as the involvement of health
facilities in the discovery of RTAB incidents. However, the distance to health facilities does not exhibit a spatial
relationship pattern with the achievement of Vaccination Against Rabies (VAR) coverage. It is hoped that future
researchers can evaluate the performance of health facilities, especially volunteers involved in RTAB.
