PENGARUH PEMBERIAN EKSTRAK DAUN KELOR FERMENTASI MELALUI AIR MINUM TERHADAP POTONGAN KOMERSIAL KARKAS BROILER

The use of fermented moringa leaves as an alternative natural antibiotic (feed additive) is due to the prohibition of the use of (AGP) Antibiotic Growth Promoter, due to the resistance caused in broilers. This study aims to determine the effect of giving fermented moringa leaf extract through drinking water on commercial cuts of broilers carcass and this study was conducted for 28 days at the Sesetan farm, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Denpasar, Bali. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of three treatments, six replications, and each replication consisted of five broilers. The treatments given consisted of N0 (broilers given drinking water without fermented moringa leaf extract (control)), N1 (broilers given drinking water with 3% fermented moringa leaf extract), N2 (broilers given drinking water with 6% fermented moringa leaf extract). The variables observed were the percentage of chest, percentage of thigh, percentage of back and percentage of wings. The results of this study indicate that the addition of fermented moringa leaf extract at concentrations of 3% and 6% did not differ significantly (P>0.05) on the percentage of chest, thigh, back and wing percentages. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the administration of fermented moringa leaf extract up to a concentration of 6% through drinking water gave the same results on commercial cuts broiler carcass.

Pemanfaatan daun kelor fermentasi sebagai salah satu alternatif antibiotik alami (feed additive) dikarenakan adanya pelarangan penggunaan (AGP) Antibiotic Growth Promoter, akibat resistensi yang ditimbulkan pada broiler. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ekstrak daun kelor fermentasi melalui air minum terhadap potongan komersial karkas broiler dan penelitian ini dilakukan selama 28 hari di farm sesetan Fakultas Peternakan, Denpasar, Bali. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari tiga perlakuan, enam ulangan, dan setiap ulangan terdiri dari lima ekor broiler. Perlakuan yang diberikan terdiri dari N0 (broiler yang diberi air minum tanpa ekstrak daun kelor fermentasi (kontrol)), N1 (broiler yang diberi air minum dengan 3% ekstrak daun kelor fermentasi), N2 (broiler yang diberi air minum dengan 6% ekstrak daun kelor fermentasi). Variabel yang diamati adalah persentase dada, persentase paha, persentase punggung dan persentase sayap. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penambahan ekstrak daun kelor fermentasi pada konsentrasi 3% dan 6% tidak berbeda nyata (P>0,05) terhadap persentase dada, persentase paha, persentase punggung dan persentase sayap. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa pemberian ekstrak daun kelor fermentasi sampai konsentrasi 6% melalui air minum memberikan hasil yang sama terhadap potongan komersial karkas broiler.
