HASIL ASOSIASI RUMPUT BENGGALA (Panicum maximum cv. Trichoglume) DAN KEMBANG TELANG (Clitoria ternatea) PADA TINGKAT NAUNGAN BERBEDA

Abstract

The development of forage has constraints on limited land. One way to provide forage throughout the year is by utilizing land under shade such as plantation or forestry areas. This research aims to determine the effect of different levels of shade on the results of grass association Panicum maximum cv. Trichoglume and Clitoria ternatea and determine the best results of Panicum maximum cv. Trichoglume and Clitoria ternatea against different shade levels. The research was conducted in Sading Village, Mengwi District, Badung Regency, from May to July 2024. The design used was a complete randomized design (CRD) with one factor. The treatment used was the level of shade with N0 = 0% shade; N1 = 20% shade; N2 = 40% shade; N3 = 60% shade, each treatment was repeated 7 times. The variables observed were the results of the association, namely leaf dry weight, stem dry weight, total forage dry weight, root dry weight, ratio of leaf dry weight to stem and ratio of total forage dry weight to root dry weight. The results showed the effect of shading level on the results of the association Panicum maximum cv. Trichoglume and Clitoria ternatea. The 20% shade treatment gave the best results in the variables of leaf dry weight, stem dry weight, total forage dry weight, and root dry weight. It can be concluded that the treatment of different levels of shade can affect the results of the association of Panicum maximum cv. Trichoglume and Clitoria ternatea, and the best results were obtained at 20% shade level.

ABSTRAK

Pengembangan hijauan pakan memiliki kendala pada keterbatasan lahan. Salah satu cara menyediakan hijauan pakan sepanjang tahun adalah dengan cara memanfaatkan tanah di bawah naungan seperti daerah perkebunan atau kehutanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh tingkat naungan berbeda terhadap hasil asosiasi rumput Panicum maximum cv. Trichoglume dan Clitoria ternatea dan mengetahui hasil terbaik asosiasi rumput Panicum maximum cv. Trichoglume dan Clitoria ternatea terhadap tingkat naungan berbeda. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Sading, Kecamatan Mengwi, Kabupaten Badung, berlangsung dari bulan Mei-Juli 2024. Rancangan yang digunakan yaitu rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan satu faktor. Perlakuan yang digunakan yaitu pada tingkat naungan dengan N0 = Naungan 0%; N1 = Naungan 20%; N2 = Naungan 40%; N3 = Naungan 60%, setiap perlakuan diulang 7 kali. Variabel yang diamati adalah variabel hasil dari asosiasi yaitu berat kering daun, berat kering batang, berat kering total hijauan, berat kering akar, nisbah berat kering daun dengan batang dan nisbah berat kering total hijauan dengan berat kering akar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh tingkat naungan terhadap hasil asosiasi Panicum maximum cv. Trichoglume dan Clitoria ternatea. Perlakuan naungan 20% memberikan hasil terbaik pada variabel berat kering daun, berat kering batang, berat kering total hijauan, dan berat kering akar. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa perlakuan tingkat naungan berbeda dapat mempengaruhi hasil asosiasi Panicum maximum cv. Trichoglume dan Clitoria ternatea, serta hasil terbaik diperoleh pada tingkat naungan 20%.
