Electronic Archiving

Kertha Patrika is fully committed to ensuring the availability, preservation, and long-term accessibility of all published scholarly articles through a reliable digital archiving system.

1. Digital Archiving System

The journal uses and supports the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) plugin available through Open Journal Systems (OJS)  system to ensure independent and distributed long-term digital preservation. Through this system, digital archival copies are stored in various partner libraries and participating servers, ensuring that journal content remains secure, accessible, and readily recoverable in the event of disruptions to the primary server.

2. External Archiving and Accessibility

To expand its reach and ensure accessibility for academics, researchers, and educational practitioners, all published articles are regularly indexed and archived through several prominent academic discovery platforms, including:

  • Garuda (Garba Rujukan Digital)
  • OneSearch, National Library of the Republic of Indonesia (Perpusnas)
  • Google Scholar
  • DOAJ

3. Data Backup and Security

To ensure continued access and protect documents against the risk of digital damage, the journal management team implements the following regular maintenance measures:

  • Conducting regular data backups on local servers and encrypted cloud-based storage.
  • Maintaining and regularly updating the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform to ensure system stability, access speed, and cybersecurity.
  • Implementing strict data security protocols to minimize the risk of data loss, file corruption, or unauthorized manipulation of archived data.

4. Long-Term Access and Retraction Policy

All scholarly articles that have completed the official publication process are intended to remain openly accessible (open access) over the long term through the journal's official website.

Article removal or retraction will only be carried out under exceptional circumstances or in specific cases involving violations of scholarly publication ethics, such as serious plagiarism, data fabrication, or copyright infringement, in accordance with the applicable editorial policies.
