Author Guidelines
Templates
These ready-to-use templates are made to help the contributors write as per the requirements of the journal. Aside from reading this page completely, authors should also download the template and follow the in-file instructions:
1. First Page File/ Cover Letter
2. Original Article (Structured Template)
3. Narrative Review (Unstructured Template)
Author(s) need to register with the journal prior to submitting or, if already registered, can simply log in and begin the five-step process. Please go to https://ejournal4.unud.ac.id/index.php/jati/ to register or log in. If you have any inquiries regarding the online submission you may email it to jatiudayana@unud.ac.id
Generally, the manuscript should be submitted in the form of at least four files:
1. First Page File/ Cover Letter (.DOC, .DOCX)
This file should contain:
- The specifications of the manuscript: type, title, running title, abstract's word count, manuscript's word count, total number of figure(s), and total number of table(s).
- Author details: names of all authors (with their highest academic degrees), email, ORCID iD and affiliations (name of the department, institution, city, and country).
- The name, address, e-mail, and telephone number of the corresponding author, who is responsible for communicating with the other authors about revisions and final approval of the proofs.
- All potential conflict of interests from any of the authors (if any).
- Previous presentation of the manuscript (if any).
- Registration number in case of a clinical trial and where it is registered (name of the registry, date registered, and its URL).
We have provided a template for the First Page file (see above) that can be filled in to make it easier for the authors.
2. Blinded Article file (.DOC, .DOCX)
The main text of the article (from Title, Abstract, Main Body, References, Figure Legends, and Tables) should all be in this file. The file must not contain any mention of the authors' names or initials or the institution at which the study was done or acknowledgments. Do not use any headers, footers, or watermarks. Do not incorporate figure(s) in the file. The pages should be numbered consecutively, beginning with the first page of the blinded article file.
3. Figure files (.PNG, .JPEG)
Each figure must be submitted as a separate file. Submit good quality color images of less than 2 MB in size. The size of the image can be reduced by decreasing the actual height and width of the images (keep up to 1600x1200 pixels or 5-6 inches). Legends for the figures/images should be included at the end of the article file.
4. Filled-inreporting guidelines checklist (.DOC, .DOCX)
Authors are strongly recommended to perform a self-assessment and submit the article-type-related reporting checklist. For example, clinical trial reports must include CONSORT statement checklist, observational studies must include STROBE checklist, case reports must include the CARE checklist, narrative review must include SANRA checklist etc.

Authorship Criteria
Jurnal Anestesiologi dan Terapi Intensif employs the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) recommendation for authorship criteria:
1. Substantial contributions to the conception or design of the work; or the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data for the work; AND
2. Drafting the work or revising it critically for important intellectual content; AND
3. Final approval of the version to be published; AND
4. Agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the work in ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved.
Participation solely in the acquisition of funding or the collection of data does not justify authorship. General supervision of the research group is not sufficient for authorship. Each contributor should have participated sufficiently in the work to take public responsibility for appropriate portions of the content of the manuscript. The order of naming the contributors should be based on the relative contribution of the contributor towards the study and writing the manuscript. Once submitted the order cannot be changed without the written consent of all the contributors. The journal prescribes a maximum number of authors for manuscripts depending upon the type of manuscript, its scope, and the number of institutions involved (vide infra). The authors should provide a justification if the number of authors exceeds these limits.
Contribution Details
Contributors should provide a description of contributions made by each of them towards the manuscript. The description should be divided into the following categories, as applicable: concept, design, the definition of intellectual content, literature search, clinical studies, experimental studies, data acquisition, data analysis, statistical analysis, manuscript preparation, manuscript editing, and manuscript review. One or more authors should take responsibility for the integrity of the work from inception to published article and should be designated as 'guarantor'.
Conflicts of Interest
All authors must disclose all conflicts of interest they may have with the publication of the manuscript or an institution or product that is mentioned in the manuscript or is important to the outcome of the study presented. Authors should also disclose conflicts of interest with products that compete with those mentioned in their manuscript.
